Promoting the Best in Lexington

About The Last Genuine Leather Co.

Ken Guyer began working with leather while living in California. After settling in Lexington, his interest in leather work became a vocation, selling his work at art and craft shows. Customers were amazed at the smell and feel of real or “genuine” leather; this is where the name for the shop originated. The Last Genuine Leather Company first opened its doors in 1974, on Main Street in Lexington. A year later, Ken moved the shop to the Euclid Ave. location where it remained for 15 years. Then he relocated a block away to one of Lexington’s oldest shopping districts, and then to it`s current Southland Drive location in September of 2008.

The Last Genuine Leather Company is open Monday-Friday, 10AM-6PM and on Saturday 10AM-5PM.
